This 15th century gem, has been transformed into some of the most impeccably designed villas on the island, and is available for your pleasure.

The architect of this project worked on it for years, in order to ensure that all traditional and authentic elements of this unique complex were preserved, while also building in all the features in order to offer guests the full range of modern amenities and living comforts. The impressive result is a fusion of the traditional architectural elements that characterise the island of Santorini, with the history of the property and a modern minimal design.

Working closely with local craftsmen, and incorporating the old machinery as statement artefacts within the design, the owners achieved an impressive result, and one rarely found across Greece.

Villa Lucia can accommodate a total of 14 guests across the combined 213sqm. of the complex. Guests are offered a truly authentic, superior quality living experience, enjoying a range of high end amenities, both indoors and outdoors, such as the multiple private terraces and two swimming pools, among other things.

Interior

Villa Lucia is actually a combination of three separate villas: Inos, Mela and Vinios, all located in Pyrgos Santorini. All three villas boast an impeccable interior design, inspired by the whitewashed traditional architectural features of all the Cycladic islands and fused with a modern minimal industrial design.

Villa Inos can accommodate four guests in its two bedrooms, each with one double bed, and two extra guest in the living room. Two bathrooms are available, one being en-suite. Among the impressive highlights of this villa are the high ceilings, and the amazing view of the island from the master bedroom!

Villa Vinios is the most compact of the three buildings. It consists of one bedroom that can comfortably accommodate two guests, whereas an extra guest can use the sofa bed. The bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom. If unwinding indoors after strolling around the island is your thing, and you enjoy small charming spaces, then this villa is the ideal one for you. It is also the only one that offers a fantastic view from its open plan living space.

Last, but certainly not least, Villa Mela is probably the most impressive of the three villas. The architect who undertook the challenging restoration project actually incorporated a restored piece of machinery from the original wine & tsipouro winery the living area of this villa. In fact, this may be the most impressive centerpiece of the whole Santorini Old Winery Villa complex. Though we will leave that to you to decide. Villa Mela can cater up to four guests in its two bedrooms and 1 extra in the living room. The master bedroom with a double bed boasts an en-suite bathroom (bath, shower and dressing room), whereas the second bedroom is located on a loft, on top of the open plan living room.

Each villa in Pyrgos Santorini has its own fully equipped kitchen that offers superior quality utilities, should you decide to dine in. Superior quality amenities are available throughout all the areas of the villas. Whether it is the organic mattresses by Coco Mat, the natural products of Korres, the amazing sound system by BOSE, or the complimentary services that come with the villa, to name but a few, this is definitely one of the most inviting, and largest villa accommodation choices on the island of Santorini, available for your pleasure.

Exterior

The exterior spaces are equally generous and impressive. Unique choices for alfresco arrangements are offered throughout the outdoor spaces.

Guest of Villa Lucia have complete and private access to both swimming pools, the main pool which offers counter-current swimming,  and the terrace pool that boasts remarkable sunset views over the island.

Moreover, should you choose to stay in Villa Lucia, you will also enjoy access to the the other main areas of the property, which include a gas stove central kitchen, a wine cellar, a dining area for 12, and an exterior bar!

Whereabouts

Villa Lucia  is located in the traditional picturesque village of Pyrgos (meaning tower) Santorini, literally a ‘no cars-allowed’ zone.  The village is built amphitheatrically on a hill that offers magnificent views of the island in almost all directions. It is worth noting that it was once the first capital of the island. Its name was Kallisti (meaning the beautiful one) at the time. Need we say more?

The villa is situated in the “Voreina” (Northern) region, beneath the remains of the Venetian castle called ‘’Kasteli’’ located at the top of the hill. This area of the island has maintained all its traditional elements, boasting medieval narrow streets, fortified walls, and hidden passages, all combined with the unique Cycladic local architecture.

Pyrgos boasts a rich history and today is home to many taverns and wine bars, galleries and boutiques, not to mention amazing restored buildings. Some are available for visitors to book, and experience life here just as the locals did for centuries. All in all, Pyrgos is therefore a village rich in history and culture, widely celebrated and adored both by locals and visitors alike .

We strongly recommend using a vehicle, rented or privately-owned, to enjoy the island of Santorini to its fullest potential.

Taxis could also be utilised, though may be scarce at times during specific parts of the season. In general, enjoying full travel independence either way, is a known ingredient in order to have a fantastic time in Santorini.

• We would kindly ask that you respect the neighbours at all times. We urge your attention to the following ‘quiet hours’ enforced by law; during which you must pay special attention; so that there is no disturbing or excessive noise coming from the villa:
  • Summer quiet hours (Apr.1-Sep30): 3PM-5.30PM & 11PM-7AM
  • Winter quiet hours (Oct.1-Mar.31): 3.30PM-5.30PM & 10PM-7.30AM
• Upon arrival guests must display a valid form of identification (ID or passport). Also, a short-term rental agreement must be signed as required by current Greek law under the Greek taxation system. Guests will not be able to check in if this requirement is not satisfied.
• The villa’s refurbishment and interior design was constructed utilising the finest materials. We expect you to respect it accordingly. Any damages will incur the relevant charges. In case these are not covered by the deposit held, additional charges will be claimed.
• A range of services can also be arranged on request: Daily cleaning and/or cooking staff, assistance regarding use of the facilities, Transportation & Chauffeur Services, Boat Charters and Trips and other Tailor Made Services. Please just ask.
• Due to its layout, this property can be split into three totally separate and private villas: Villa Vinios, Villa Mela and Villa Inos. For larger groups the whole Complex: The Old Winery Villa is available for rent that included all 3 above mentioned villas plus Villa Sena.
