Villa Zara is a charmingly superb 78sq.m. accommodation in Zakynthos. The villa has been designed by the world famous architect T. Zeppos, who has elegantly achieved an equilibrium between feelings like total relaxation, privacy and freedom, while retaining an immaculate design throughout.

This special two-bedroom villa is perched on a hilltop in Zakynthos and is part of a complex of 3 aesthetically similar housing accommodations within the same property. Villa Zara boasts lovely views over the Ionian Sea from the open plan kitchen, the living room, the two bedrooms, the veranda, and the pool.

Interior

Fusing natural elements and textures with a modern minimal design, Villa Zara has been decorated utilising soft earth tones and shades of grey along with wooden elements and finishings. The result is a fully contemporary villa complete with all modern amenities, which still manages to pay tribute to the uniquely vibrant landscape of the area.

The centerpiece in Villa Zara is its natural light. It shines abundantly in all areas of the villa, through its large windows.

The living room boasts a comfortable sofa with plenty of cushions for your convenience. Villa Zara boasts an open plan kitchen, with adequate appliances and kitchenware to make tea, coffee, a meal or some snacks. Both bedrooms feature a double bed with eco-friendly Coco-Mat furnishings & mattresses.

Exterior

Outside on the patio, which is your own special veranda complete with its own pool and sitting area, you will enjoy spectacular views over the area of Agios Nikolaos and the Ioanian Sea, merging with the sky beyond. A pergola will ensure that you remain cool and protected from the summer heat, should you wish to, and the pool will provide the ideal space for a glass of wine, cocktails or any cool refreshments your heart desires, while enjoying the superb views.

Whereabouts

Zakynthos is one of the most exotic Greek Islands, boasting turquoise waters, sandy beaches and amazing natural landscapes.

By exploring the island of Zakynthos you will come across picturesque hilltop villages, traditional monasteries and quaint natural landscapes, while some of the island’s beaches are also home to the endangered Caretta-Caretta species of sea turtles.

For those interested in a more historic aspect, Zakynthos Island will not disappoint you. Strongly influenced by the Venetians, who called the island “Flower of the East” (Fiore di Levante) you will have the opportunity to visit the Venetian Castle, Saint Mark Square and The Post Byzantine Museum in the Town of Zante, amongst other sightseeing gems.

Villa Zara is located on a hill, overlooking the Ionian Archipelagos, just above the famous Agios Nikolaos Beach in Zakynthos. From the port of Agios Nikolaos you can also catch boat rides to the world-renowned ‘Shipwreck beach‘ (Navagio Beach) as well as to Pesada, in Cefalonia.

Access

Guests will enjoy complete and exclusive access to all areas of the villa, its large verandas and pool, during their stay in Zakynthos.

We strongly recommend using a vehicle, rented or privately-owned, to enjoy the island of Zakynthos to its fullest potential.

Taxis could also be utilised, though may be scarce at times during specific parts of the season. In general, enjoying full travel independence either way, is a known ingredient in order to have a fantastic time in Zakynthos.

• We would kindly ask that you respect the neighbours at all times. We urge your attention to the following ‘quiet hours’ enforced by law; during which you must pay special attention; so that there is no disturbing or excessive noise coming from the accommodation:
  • Summer quiet hours (Apr.1-Sep30): 3PM-5.30PM & 11PM-7AM
  • Winter quiet hours (Oct.1-Mar.31): 3.30PM-5.30PM & 10PM-7.30AM
• Upon arrival guests must display a valid form of identification (ID or passport). Also, a short-term rental agreement must be signed as required by current Greek law under the Greek taxation system. Guests will not be able to check in if this requirement is not satisfied.
• This accommodation’s refurbishment and interior design was constructed utilising the finest materials. We expect you to respect it accordingly. Any damages will incur the relevant charges. In case these are not covered by the deposit held, additional charges will be claimed.
• A range of services can also be arranged on request: Daily cleaning and/or cooking staff, assistance regarding use of the facilities, Transportation & Chauffeur Services, Boat Charters and Trips and other Tailor Made Services. Please just ask.
